It started with a little curiosity... and a lot of experimenting.

During the pandemic, I kept seeing advertisements for laser engravers and thought, “That looks like something fun I could do from home in my spare time.” What started as curiosity turned into nearly a year of research, and in November 2021, my first laser arrived.

By January 2022, Pleasingly Perfect Gifts was officially a business.

I taught myself how to use the laser and began experimenting—different materials, different techniques and lots of different projects. There was plenty of trial and error along the way (and there still is!), but discovering what I could create quickly became something I genuinely loved.

In the beginning, most of what I made went to family and friends. Birthdays, Christmas, special occasions—or sometimes simply because I had an idea I wanted to try. Seeing someone's reaction when they received something created especially for them was always the best part.

And that's still what I love about it today.

Pleasingly Perfect Gifts is about creating something that feels personal. Whether it's engraved with a name, designed for someone's home, or made especially for an occasion, I want it to be something the recipient is genuinely excited to receive.

Over the years I've continued learning, experimenting with new materials and adding new ways to create, but that original idea hasn't changed:
